Nir Hous, MD

After finisihng his military service in the IDF  Nir Hous started medical school at the Technion - the Faculty of Medicine, Haifa Israel at 1994 (BSc MD). in 2001 worked as House Officer in  Poria Hospital, Lower Galilee, Israel,  followed by  orthopaedic training (2002-2008) in the Orthopaedic Department  Rambam Medical Center, Haifa israel. During his training he showed  intrest in shoulder and sport medicine and was a bench doctor of an Elite football club.   Since july 2008 works as a Shoulder Fellow in Reading.

 

 

Peer Konings MRCS(Ed), MD

Peer Konings started medical school at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam in 1990. During study he showed an interest in orthopaedics by working as an elective in the Istituti Orthopaedici Rizzoli in Bologna in Italy in 1995.

In 1998 he was a Junior House Officer in the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham. Professor Wallace was his supervisor and inspired him for Shoulder surgery. Trauma Fellowships followed in Edinburgh (Court-Brown) in 2000 and in Leeds (Giannoudis) in 2006. The orthopaedic training was followed (2001-2007) in the cities of Leiden and The Hague in The Netherlands. From 2005 until 2007 he was a board member of the Dutch Orthopaedic Trainee Association, which is equivalent to the BOTA. Since April 2008 works as a Shoulder Fellow in Reading.

      

Greg Heffernan, MB, BCh (NUI)FRCSI (Orth), MSc (Orth)

Gregory  Heffernan A graduate of University College Galway, Ireland, he developed an interest in Shoulder and Upper Limb surgery doing an MSc in 1999 at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore working with Mr Ian Bayley, Mr Paul Calvert (RIP) and Mr Rolfe Birch. The M Sc included a thesis on shoulder lesions in Obstetrical Brachial Plexus Palsy. He completed the Irish Orthopaedic Training Scheme Specialist Registrar Rotation in 2006, subsequently worked as a Consultant in Ireland and he is on the Register of Medical Specialists in Ireland and the United Kingdom for Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. Other interests include trying to keep a bit fit (jogging and sometimes running) and kayaking.
