The "Stephen Copeland Memorial" Reading Shoulder Course 2016

We are pleased to inform you that the renowned Reading Advanced Shoulder Course will be this year dedicated to the memory of Stephen Copeland and will be held once again on 10th and 11th March 2016 at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, Millennium Madejski Hotel Reading.

The Reading Shoulder Course was one of the first worldwide shoulder courses running since 1982, established by Mr Stephen Copeland.

With constant advances in arthroscopic and arthroplasty techniques, instruments and implants, there is a continuous need to learn and improve our skills with novel techniques. Yet, it is as important to adhere to the basics of assessment and diagnosis, patient selection and selection of the right operation for the right patient.

We are organizing an exciting programme with outstanding international faculty for this course. The first day of the course will have 3 live surgery procedures by different surgeons, which will include arthroscopic and arthroplasty procedures. A large spectrum of shoulder problems will be discussed, with specific focus on challenges and revision surgery in shoulder treatments including biological treatment and future options. There will be lectures, discussions and debates with interactive participation of faculty and delegates. There will be practice sessions of the different techniques in workshops held as a satellite symposia by the sponsoring companies and an exhibition where the companies will present their devices, techniques and innovations.
